Lilly has announced RE:SUMMIT 2026, a free public event in Dubai on November 7, aimed at rethinking weight, obesity, and health. The event will take place at Madinat Jumeirah Arena, gathering around 2,500 attendees to challenge misconceptions and explore the science of weight and health.
Expert Discussions and Personal Stories
Hosted by Kris Fade, the event will feature leading medical experts, including Dr. Fatima Cody Stanford from Harvard Medical School, and influential voices like Anas Bukhash. The program will combine scientific insights with personal perspectives to explore the complexities of weight, social expectations, and stigma.
Dr. Cody Stanford emphasized the complexity of obesity, stating, “Obesity is a complex chronic disease, and there is no single approach that is right for everyone.” The event will also include a conversation led by Anas Bukhash, discussing identity and self-perception with Kris Fade, Hadeel Marei, and Karen Wazen.
Interactive Experiences and Public Engagement
Beyond discussions, RE:SUMMIT will offer experiential activations, including interactive installations and a digital wall to engage visitors. Tayllit Aherdan, General Manager of Eli Lilly Gulf, highlighted the event’s goal to make the science of obesity more accessible and challenge stigma.
RE:SUMMIT is free and open to the public, with advance registration required. To reserve a place, visit www.resummit.ae.
